Christopher Gilmore

President

Christopher E. Gilmore is a corporate attorney practicing with Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. Mr. Gilmore’s practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions primarily in the technology industry. His primary areas of concentration are mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, commercial transactions, and corporate governance. He has represented various clients in more than US$1.5 billion of private financing and acquisition transactions. Mr. Gilmore received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and Minor in Accounting from North Carolina State University, and his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School.

In addition to leading the Emerging 100 of Atlanta, Mr. Gilmore is a member of Urban League of Greater Atlanta - Young Professionals and the Gate City Bar Association, and an annual volunteer with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer's Foundation.

Joe Wilson

Vice President

Joseph Wilson is a trial lawyer at Fried Rogers Goldberg. Is also the co-president for New Level Management Group and the host of the Mogul Mentality podcast.

In his role as an attorney he has secured over $9 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Joseph is also on the alumni board at Jacksonville State University, as well as a board member for the GTLA's New Lawyer Division. 

Joseph has been a member of the Emerging 100 of Atlanta since 2013, and previously served as the organization's Parliamentarian.

Marcus Gore

Treasurer

Marcus Gore is an experienced banking professional, with a focus in commercial real estate development. M. Gore has worked with large banks and developers to help finance over $400MM in real estate transactions, located throughout the southeast. Marcus earned a B.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology in Industrial Engineering and currently serves on the board of The Emerging 100 where he enjoys mentoring the future leaders of his community.

Will Watkins

Secretary

Will Watkins is an IT consultant for Gartner, an IT research & advisory firm. His role focuses on the progression and growth of technology in K-12 districts in the southeast United States. Watkins is a coach for the South DeKalb Tribe baseball program and serves as a member of the baseball program's executive board. He is passionate about coaching on the field, in the classroom and in the office. He prides himself on mentoring and creating opportunities for those around him.
As a dedicated member, Will previously served on the following committees for the Emerging 100, including: sponsorship, fundraising and social committees. Presently, Will sits on the executive board of the Emerging 100 for the current term. Will is a proud graduate and student athlete of Clark Atlanta University (CAU) with a degree in Marketing and Finance. He is also an Atlanta native and lives in Mableton, GA with his wife (Carmen) and daughter (Ellis).

Matthew Harper

Parliamentarian

Matthew Harper is an entrepreneur and proud owner of Esquire Branding Agency, a company that specializes in marketing, consulting and event planning for non-profit organizations, corporations and small businesses. He is passionate about working with professionals and creating social experiences where members of our community can expand their network on both personal and professional fronts. Matthew is a proud graduate of Morehouse College with a degree in Philosophy and a double minor in Journalism and Business Administration. Matthew has previously served as the Social Chair for the Emerging 100 and now sits on the Executive board for the current term. Matthew is also native of Atlanta, GA and enjoys participating in various civic, social and community focused organizations.
